Why should I use onefacein?

How does onefacein work?

Based on your face and voice, OneFaceIn leverages complex biometrics for highly accurate recognition and user authorization. This creates a secure account that is unique to you and only you. Built on the same biometric technology widely used by military and governments worldwide, OneFaceIn believes you deserve the same security and protection.

How do I add all of my sites’ usernames and passwords?

To transition your passwords seamlessly, turn on "OFI Password Filling" on your smartphone's "Accessibility" screen found under "Settings." This will allow OneFaceIn to automatically store your passwords. You can also manually add them by clicking the "add" sign in the lower right corner of your "My Logins" screen.

How does the "Secure App" feature work?

"Secure App" allows you to lock apps that do not require usernames and passwords, as well as apps that you may not log out of regularly. With this feature toggled on, you will be prompted to authenticate your biometrics to open these secured apps, adding an additional layer of security to your device. This feature helps secure apps such as your photo gallery, notes, contacts, and messages that do not have usernames and passwords and social media and email apps that you may not regularly log out of.

What is my "Session time"?

If "Secure App" is toggled on, you will be asked to set your "Session time." Your session time is the amount of time after a successful biometric authentication until you will be prompted to authenticate again when opening the secured app consecutively.

How does "Automatically log me in" work?

OneFaceIn's "Automatically log me in" feature allows users to use their face and voice biometrics to open username and password protected accounts. OneFaceIn uses auto-form filling to enter your username and password upon successful biometric authentication so you never have to remember or type a password again.

Is onefacein safer than traditional passwords?

Traditional passwords can be forgotten, duplicated or hacked, but with OneFaceIn, your password is unique to you. Your face, your voice and local data encryption are your password. And your password is secure.

Do you have access to my passwords?

No. There is actually no way for OneFaceIn to see your passwords.The key that protects your encrypted information never leaves your device. OneFaceIn simply provides the secure gateway between your biometrics and traditional passwords using some of the world's most advanced security technology.

So, what happens to my passwords?

When you create an account, OneFaceIn securely stores your encrypted usernames and passwords. Only you can access them with your face and voice. All data is encrypted and decrypted on your local device, so only you have the power to access your data. Your face and voice are now your universal password.

Why face and voice?

Face and voice together enhance the accuracy and convenience for the user. If you are in an environment that is noisy you can still get access via facial recognition. If you are in a location with poor light you can still use the voice recognition. Together they form the ultimate protection for your passwords.

Why not thumbprint?

Singular forms of biometric authentication are always at risk of being hacked by fraudsters. Our research indicates that multi-modal biometric authentication is a more secure way to address this challenge. What do I do if the biometrics don’t work?

In the case that your biometrics don’t work due to a dark and/or noisy environment, you will be prompted to use your master password to authenticate.

What are the security options?

Currently OneFaceIn is configured to allow face and/or voice recognition for users to authenticate. Users can also determine their preferred security level for their biometrics. Higher security levels require slightly more time to authenticate, so we have decided it is best to allow you to find a balance between security level and an authentication time that is best for you.

Is OneFaceIn available on iOS?

Can I move the app to my device's SD card?

We do not recommend this. OneFaceIn encrypts your username and password information and then stores it locally on your device. This prevents your passwords from being accessed elsewhere as your information is only available on your device protected by your biometrics. By moving OneFaceIn to your SD card, your passwords would then be at harm of being transferred with the SD card.
